About Be an Angel e.V.
Be an Angel, founded in 2015, is a NGO which fights for the life and rights of refugees and displaced people around the world.
We focus on emergency support such as civilian evacuations by land and air, aid relief, facilitating trauma and medical care and coordinating administrative connections between NGOs and local municipal governments.
Since the Russian invasion in February 2022 we have evacuated more than 19'000 people from Ukraine as well as distributed over 4500 tons of relief supplies all the way to the to the front lines.
The mentor & protegee program
The Re:build Ukraine - Mentor & Protegee program aims to empower Ukrainian single mothers who have become refugees in the EU and hold an academic background and/or entrepreneurial experience.
The program consists of personalized one-on-one mentoring sessions for these women, connecting them with experienced professionals who can guide and support them in improving their skills and developing business ideas.
Through remote online lessons, our program enables flexibility and accessibility, allowing single mothers to learn and grow at their own pace while balancing their responsibilities.
By addressing the specific needs of Ukrainian single mothers in the EU, including language barriers, lack of business knowledge, and limited job opportunities, we provide a comprehensive solution that empowers them to create their own sustainable businesses and achieve financial independence as well as help regenerate Ukraine’s economy.

- You are a single mother from Ukraine with an academic background or entrepreneurial experience and have become a refugee as a result of the Russian invasion
- You are interested in learning and developing entrepreneurial skills but are lacking the necessary resources
- You are perhaps struggling from balancing childcare, personal and professional responsibilities and want to gain financial independence

Matching with a mentor from your desired field.

Program Introduction and Orientation - Learn about the resources available.

One-on-One Mentoring Sessions - Initiate your regular mentoring sessions.

- You have a higher level of entrepreneurial experience and/or experience as a business consultant.
- You want to share your expertise, knowledge and toolboxes and work together with a protegee to support, guide and empower her
- You consider yourself a good intercultural communicator with a supportive approach and growth mindset
- You can dedicate at least 4 hours per month to work with your protegee and are flexible
